Countries with commercial nuclear power programmes have been urged to ensure they maintain and share databases with “significant safety-related” information with each other.
The chairman of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Dale Klein, said information should be collected by nuclear regulators and “shared across national boundaries”. This could include findings related to counterfeit parts and defective or non-compliant components. |
