Madam, - The Minister for Foreign Affairs is reported as having informed the Dáil that "India can reduce the pressure for oil and gas consumption by expanding its nuclear industry. That's good for India's energy security and for the environment" ( The Irish Times,October 10th).
May we assume the Government believes that what's good for India is equally good for Ireland - namely that the nuclear option, as part of Ireland's energy mix, will help our energy security and will benefit the environment? - Yours, etc,
