18 Jul (NucNet): Canada-based uranium exploration company Mawson
Resources has updated the resource calculation for its Klappibacken
uranium project in northern Sweden by more than 50 percent to 3.3
million pounds of U3O8.
Mawson president and chief executive officer Michael Hudson announced the update yesterday following completion of a 20-hole drilling programme.
Mr Hudson said: "Mineralisation remains open with strong potential for expansion and future work will be directed at defining the immediate extensions to mineralisation and testing near-surface targets."
Klappibacken forms part of Mawson's Hotagen project, where 19 drill-tested or surface sampled uranium mineralised prospects have been discovered within a five kilometre radius of Klappibacken. Mr Hudson said the company looked forward to continue building its knowledge of "this highly prospective area" during the summer.
