Draft Investment Agreement For Completion Of Cernavoda Units

6 Mar (NucNet): A draft investment agreement has been sent to the six
companies selected to lead the construction and commissioning of units
3 and 4 of Romania's Cernavoda nuclear power plant.
Romanian utility Nuclearelectrica said the draft, including the proposed charter for the project management company, was sent on 1 March 2008 to the investors - Arcelo-Mittal of Romania, CEZ of the Czech Republic, Electrabel of Belgium, Enel of Italy, Iberdrola of Spain and RWE of Germany.
The process is the next stage before the agreement is presented for final approval by the investors, Nuclearelectrica and other authorities including the Romanian government. It is expected that the project management company will be established in May 2008.
Nuclearelectrica said in January 2008 that the flotation of the project company on the stock market was among its targets for the year.
