French have right idea.
Your editorial (11 January) claimed that no-one was arguing for the UK being as dependent on nuclear power as the French. Well, I am.
Simply replacing nuclear with nuclear merely gets us back to where we are now, with only about a fifth of the UK's electricity coming from nuclear stations.
To avoid further extensive emission of , we need to triple the number of stations, to at least bring us up to the French level (79 per cent of all electricity from 59 reactors on about 22 sites).
