Nuclear power is the clean, clear answer

The scaremongering by Greenpeace, the Liberal Democrats, the Tory Zac Goldsmith about the dangers of global warming is sheer hypocrisy.

They all ignore the fact that we have a power station fuel that produces no greenhouse gases whatever, is by far the safest method of generating electricity, is not susceptible to terrorists getting to pipelines bringing gas from Turkmenistan (assuming President Putin allows it to come in the first place) and has no technical problem with waste. This is, of course, uranium.

In surveys, the general public vote 60% in favour of wind farms; of course, the questionnaire does not remind them that would cost an extra 5p per kwhr using wind.

On the other hand, if one asked of electrical engineers, without whom there would be no power, the question "is the proposal to get 5% of the National Grid from wind ludicrous" then the answer would be almost 100% "yes".

The difference between the public perception and reality is worrying. It is caused by the dishonest propaganda of Greenpeace and the incompetent journalists of the BBC and left wing newspapers.

I believe Greenpeace to be a Marxist organisation that aims to damage the economies of the free world under the pretence of concern for the planet. The infamous Kyoto Agreement illustrates this in that whilst restrictions were placed on the free world economies, the world's worst polluter, China, was exempt,  being a Marxist country; socialist India was also exempt.
