NIA UK | Winfrith Reactor Decommissioning Reaches Important Milestone

NIA UK | Community digs deep to unearth Anglesey’s secret history

Anglesey’s hidden history has been uncovered by budding archaeologists taking part in a community dig and open days around the Wylfa Newydd site.

As part of its ongoing archaeological investigations for the Wylfa Newydd Project, Horizon Nuclear Power invited local people from across Anglesey and North Wales to take part in an archaeological dig over eight weeks around the proposed power station site.

NIA UK | Nuvia set for Sellafield BEP Grout Plant contract

Nuvia, the international nuclear engineering, project management and services contractor, has secured a multi-million pound contract to support the completion of the Box Encapsulation Plant (BEP) for Sellafield Limited’s Seascale site in Cumbria.

The demolition of one of Sellafield’s tallest hazards has started.

A chimney on top of the oldest reprocessing plant on the nuclear site, will be crunched away at a rate of 1 metre a week.

The tower will be gone by 2020, resulting in a permanent change to the Sellafield skyline.
